The shock cord is designed to take the "shock" that mature whitetail bucks can apply to your overhanging branch, whether you're using a vine or a rope. It also helps prevent those pesky raccoons from pulling off your vine or rope. All shock cords from Oak & Iron Outdoors are soaked in activated-carbon for 48 hours to help reduce smell.
